Areas to explore in Bulgaria

Elenite is a small resort approx. 30 minute journey from the airport and just north of Sunny Beach and Sveti Vlas. In Elenite there is two resorts Privilege and Messembria.

As a guest in Privilege you are entitled to visit all other Fortnoks Complexes and use there facilities.

Just opposite Privilege complex is Paco’s Bar a ramshackle building but very friendly place with its own unique atmosphere.

Paco’s is very lively and a great meeting place for guests from other self-catering resorts and hotels in the Elenite area I.e. Royal Park and Zorontas Sands.

The whole family can have a day out in the Royal Park Hotel, as a guest in Privilege self-catering apartments you have the opportunity to pay for a days all inclusive visit, take breakfast, lunch and evening meals, all drinks and use of the beautiful sandy beach, go wind surfing, paragliding go on the banana boat and have access to the aqua park all for a one of fee approx. £12 for adults discount for kids.

All you need to take with you is a Towel, your passport and entry fee.

As a guest in Privilege self catering apartments you are also entitled to use the 5 star Zorontas Hotel to have lunch or evening meals.

The Hotel has an excellent sea food restaurant and beautiful cocktail bar at very good prices.

The nearby stables at Elenite offer horse riding for all abilities and take in the outstanding tree-covered mountains and villages.

Prices for last year were fantastic value and offer a great day out.

There are plenty of beautiful walks in the area for those people who like to have a stroll to work of the excess of all that cheap and wonderful food and drink.

Sveti Vlas Village:

The village is only 5km from the apartments and boasts many bars and restaurants. You can walk or take a bus, taxi to Sveti Vlas.

If you decide to walk you will be pleased to know that there is a number of Fortnoks complexes along the way where you can stop off to enjoy a cold drink, snacks or a dip in the pool don’t forget your towel.

There are many bars and restaurants overlooking the revamped town square where you can relax and watch the world go by. There is also a small fairground that is open during the summer season.

Sunny Beach Resort:

Sunny Beach is just 10km from the apartments and is accessible by private bus from the Privilege complex at a small charge ( 4 Lev approx 20p) or local bus or taxi.

Please use the taxi with the Fortnoks logo as a guest using the self-catering apartments at Privilege you will receive a better rate than other patrons.

Sunny Beach is the biggest resort in Bulgaria and has numerous Bars, Restaurants, Shops and nightclubs for all ages. It also has the largest beach in Bulgaria which is free to use although there is a charge for sundowners and parasols but you can lie in your beach towel free of charge.

There is numerous sporting activities on the beach ranging from Bungee jumping to paragliding, jet ski, paragliding etc. there is also numerous bars, shops and restaurants right on the beach front. Be sure and check out the cheap DVD movies and music to play on the DVD when you get back to your apartment.

The shops and stalls have everything for sale that you could think of only cheaper than most European countries. Below is a View of the jetty on Sunny beach where you catch the sea boat taxi to Nessabar.

Nessabar Old Town:

The town of Nessabar is one of the oldest in Europe. The ancient Thracian settlement called Messembria was founded in Century AD. In 1956 the town was proclaimed an architectural and archaeological reserve.

You can reach Nessabar by public bus from Sunny Beach or taxi or by sea taxi, Sea taxi is the cheapest and leaves from the beach jetty it give you a chance to view the coastline between Elenite and Nessabar the journey takes approx. 30 mins.

Nessabar is rich in Bars, Restaurants and Mehenas and is a great place to buy arts and crafts which are sold by the artists themselves.
